ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Emergency Department nurse, you will play a key role in working within a high-performing team, ensuring exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include delivering safe, evidenced-based nursing care, liaising with the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring patient and staff safety, and educating and supporting patients to manage their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Experience in ED/Critical Care/ICU is highly desirable;
- At least 2 years of acute hospital working experience;
- Working with Children check;
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACSQHC National standards;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Works well independently and within a team;

34.56 - 46.22 per hour.

The hospital, located in Melbourne's northwestern suburbs, is a fully accredited major surgical, acute medical and emergency facility. The hospital provides a wide range of services to its community with 186 registered beds, an emergency department, 5 operating theatres, a 12-bed Critical Care Complex, and a busy day surgery/endoscopy unit. The hospital specialises in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT and gynaecology.
