Who are we looking for?
We are looking for multiple experienced Engine Reconditioner / Fitter & Turner / Machinist, who are professional people with a great attitude. You will be flexible in your approach and safety will be at the top of your priority list. The positions will be in Sunshine Coast QLD, carrying out overhaul and repair of aircraft piston engines, components and propellers, working dayshift.
Your role
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing manual machining operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, broaching and conventional milling and lathe work using various engine lathes & mills.
- Machining aircraft piston engine components i.e., conrods, counterweights & crankcases
- Cylinder Head repairs
- Ensure machinery operates smoothly through routine maintenance, trouble shooting and preventative measures
- Proven experience as a fitter/machinist or similar role
- Proficiency in precision machining techniques and equipment operation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Welding qualifications
- Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
- Trade qualifications or relevant certification
- Experience in metal fabrication
- NDT experience
