Job description
The Engineering Auditor will primarily be responsible the site asset collection, sites survey and condition audit s of customer property portfolios . The purpose of this role is to ensure BGIS capture accurate asset data using BGIS asset management systems and processes , in a format that can then which can be consumed by BGIS Asset Management I nformation S ystems for the purpose of scheduling of planned preventive maintenance strategies and assessment of life cycle replacement strateg ies and forecasting long term financial replacement plans .
The Role
This role will be based in NSW but will require Asset Auditing across other states over period of time, which may require some travelling.
The role will require managing audits through internal trade resources and/ or 3 rd Party Contractors or Specialist equipment suppliers where program is performed under a transitional program or physically auditing on-site as part of ongoing planned periodical assessments .
Develop account specific asset management transition plan based on the financial model and contract deliverables of new accounts and existing accounts in response to formal improvement or transformation projects.
Ensure that all asset management transition plans are in accordance with the BGIS standards as set by the AMEO team , product owner and related policies.
Develop account specific KPI, data and reporting transition plan based on the financial model and contract deliverables of new accounts and existing accounts in response to formal improvement and transformation projects.
Manage, in accordance with the broader transition plan and BGIS transition methodology the capture of all relevant data including asset data.
Lead the evaluation of the data in collaboration with subject matter experts and other stakeholders including the client, incumbent IFM provider and suppliers.
Lead the cleansing of all data to meet BGIS and client standards and Manhattan / client system requirements.
Provide documented assurance regarding data integrity via formal governance and reporting channels within the transition project in accordance with the project plan and formal governance and reporting requirements.
Develop and implement data risk control plans.
Lead transition due diligence workshops (discover) to adequately execute the asset management and data management plans in accordance with BGIS standards.
Collaborate closely with all upstream and downstream product owners and functional owners including but not limited to the Technical FM Team, BCSC, MIS and the operations team to ensure sequencing of data capture, storage and master data management is coordinated and data integrity is known and maintained.
Lead the coordination of physical asset data capture programs including site inspections, supplier data capture and so on in accordance with the agreed asset management plan.
Establish KPI reporting capability in collaboration with the Data Analyst and Asset Management Programme lead to meet BGIS and client reporting requirements.
Participate in communities of practice related to the Service Delivery Excellence Program on matters relevant to data including asset data and management especially ISO 55001 project and Data, Analysis and Reporting Project.
Assist in the management and control of costs against budget, flagging any potential overspend early in the process to the relevant parties.
Manage customer relationships to a level that would result in the client being prepared to recommend BGIS to others.
Skills & Experience
Knowledge of building services and general building maintenance
Strong computer skills, use of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint and MS Project
Competent in use of mobile technology tools and software used for capture and analysis of assets.
Able to read, interpret and assign data attributes against assets.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines.
Strong demonstrated experience in a property or corporate real estate environment or at a level in a similarly complex industry.
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication, as well as excellent interpersonal skills
It is preferable to have a degree, Associate Diploma or Trade Certificate in Engineering, Construction or Building Surveying in a building or facilities management related discipline.
