The role:
We are the core and primary team driving to deliver the Unsecured Lending Mobile and Web Channels of tomorrow, for our millions of customers. As an Engineering Manager you will have previous experience with hands-on coding and shaping the evolution of your squads to plan, deliver and support features that deliver customer value. You will bring a broad skillset including the ability to influence and shape the future growth and success of our product.
The role and day to day will include:
Building, leading, coaching, and mentoring squads to uplift the skills and knowledge required to excel in their role
Facilitating collaboration with other Engineers, Solution Designers, Testers, Business Analysts and Technical Product Owners to solve challenges and roadblocks
Developing and delivering strategic roadmaps that improve performance and engagement based on data-based metrics
Supporting the timely delivery of technical solutions that produce high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives
Shaping the learning & training programs to align our team's abilities with technical strategies
Working with delivery teams to improve quality and speed through adoption of CI/CD and DevOps practices, processes, and tooling
We are seeking someone who is:
Passionate about leading teams that build industry leading customer interactive retail mobile products from the ground up
Skilled at implementing cutting edge coding practices, driving high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives and minimising risks
Able to lead and drive a culture where excellence and openness are advocated
Constantly thinking outside the box and challenging the status quo to solve complex issues
Experienced in executing and releasing large Agile mobile (iOS & Android) and web products, and software engineering practices
Able to create technology plans and engineering roadmaps for a continuous mobile transformational journey
Experienced in tools across full software delivery lifecycle, e.g., iOS and Android release automation, Architecture principles, end to end test automation, UI Testing and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, demonstrable SRE & DevOps mindset, Shift left techniques (API First, feature flags, test early, spikes to de-risk or fail fast)
We are open to considering candidates who are willing to learn with a "go-getter" attitude for React, React Native, AWS and Azure microservices, BFFs
