Join our Team
Kmart Platform Services team are looking to bring on board a Engineering Manager. We are an internal team whose customers are internal developers and application teams. We develop and manage multiple platforms such as Cloud (AWS), API Management (Kong), Event Driven (Confluent) and Developer Tools.
We want to provide services which simplify and enhance the software development and operational process by providing the common services which development team use, thus removing the needs for each of them to develop their own solutions. Our team empowers developers to be autonomous through our self-service platforms.
About You
You have an Engineering -Technical background
The ability to manage delivery to achieve business goals.
You have experience with managing/workign with vendors and external parties to deliver high business value.
Coach and mentor the team and provide technical and career guidance for the engineering team.
Able to ensure the right software systems are built in coordination with internal teams and Vendors.
Have hands-on experience in an engineering role.
Be able to contribute to architectural design and review.
Possess a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Agile ways of working.
Able to identify system limitations and create high level plans and approaches to solve technical issues.
Possess excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills, and good coordination and project management skills.
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
