We are looking for an Engineering Manager Tatura to work with the Engineering Manager – Projects to effectively oversee technical teams responsible for managing all maintenance activities, delivering projects, innovation, infrastructure and services to the Tatura site. This role embraces Lean Manufacturing (UMS) principles as an ongoing continuous improvement initiative.
Role Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic plans that ensure an effective utilisation of assets and resources across the site
To directly supervise and provide guidance to the broader maintenance team
Drive the Professional Maintenance (PM) pillar of the UMS process. To ensure all deliverables of the PM pillar are met, ie:
Increase the MTBF of all lines
Reduce the MTTR of all lines
Develop and implement Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMP’s)
Coordinate the maintenance of machine ledgers for key machines
Oversee the Emergency Work Order (EWO) process
Develop and implement the Maintenance R&M budgets (labour & materials)
Work closely with Engineering Manager – Projects on the development and management of the annual capital budget
Work closely with the Manufacturing team to improve site and line efficiency while reducing waste
Manage technical teams responsible for project delivery and innovation
Continuously strive to improve site infrastructure in such areas as energy, water, treatment, steam, contracts and contractors
Ensure that all projects and innovations occur within budget guidelines
To ensure that the site complies with the HACCP and ISO 14001 accreditations
Any other projects, as required, by the Sourcing Unit Manager.
Does this sound like You
Mechanical, Electrical, Automation and/or Mechatronic
Proven experience in maintenance leadership including overseeing preventative maintenance programs
A track record in the end-to-end management of significant capital projects
The interpersonal skills to interface with other operational business units
A commitment to Lean Manufacturing (UMS) and Continuous Improvement (CI) principles
Experience in AutoCAD & SAP would be highly advantageous
High levels of Accountability
Exceptional Analytical / problem solving capabilities
Demonstarted ability to work under pressure
Superior time management/ prioritising expertise
Results-driven with superb attention to detail
