Support the Projects, Engineering and Assets team and wider organisation through positive team participation and by assisting when required with workload, providing backup, or advice in areas of expertise.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of Projects, Engineering and Assets by assisting in the ongoing review and updating of information including policies, procedures, information sheets and processes.
Any other tasks determined as appropriate to the position
What You Will Need
Knowledge of engineering project management practices for the development of municipal infrastructure, (Paths, Cycleway, Roads, culverts, landscaping & drainage etc.)
Knowledge of engineering design / design review, construction techniques, materials, and equipment, in the development and delivery of municipal infrastructure
Knowledge and understanding of grant funding application, processes, and administration
Knowledge and understanding of preliminary project planning processes (project briefs, clearing permits, Acid sulphate soils, funding applications, estimates and annual and long-term budgeting)
Good computer literacy to use a range of software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project)
Experience in Local or State Government works program processing
Tertiary qualification in Engineering and/or Project Management or demonstrated relevant experience
Understanding of survey and computer aided design (CAD) software
Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1995 and other relevant legislation, industry guidelines, standards and best practice as related to the requirements and procedures for engineering development
Construction Induction card (White card) accreditation
General Traffic management understanding and work experience
Work Health and Safety application and general understanding
