Due to high demand, Alloy Steel Australia (INT) PTY Ltd is rapidly expanding and is looking for an experienced Engineering Technologist (Drafting) to join its team on a contract basis with the option to move into a full-time position.
An Engineering Technologist (Drafting) prepares detailed drawings, provides support to Mechanical Engineers in mechanical engineering design, construction, operation and maintenance of production machinery, mechanical installations. Their duties will include but are not limited to the below responsibilities.
About the role:
- Generating accurate documentation such as BOMs, detail drawings, fabrication drawings, reports, instructions, and manuals;
- Collecting and analyzing complex data, preparing diagrams;
- Estimating material expenses and quantities, and machine requirements;
- Preparing proposals, quotations, and documentation for new work;
- Assist production personnel with technical queries;
- Being responsible for providing engineering input and design, 3D Modeling, and 2D Drawings;
- Ensuring that the design and finished work comply with the specifications and contract conditions;
- Reporting to Engineering Manager;
- Be competent in Inventor CAD;
- Posses Mechanical drafting certificate/ trade qualification, or at least three years of relevant experience.
- Be familiar with manufacturing and fabrication process;
- Have industry experience in mechanical designs;
- Posses experience with Mining Process Plants (advantage);
- Be familiar with Australian Standards;
- Posses effective time management and planning skills;
- Have the ability to prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines;
- Appropriate Engineering tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Structural;
- Manufacturing or other Engineering related disciplines would be highly regarded;
- Be plodding and stress-resistant, as the work can sometimes be monotonous;
The remuneration offered for the role is currently 75,000 AUD annually plus 10.5% superannuation.
