Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital provides inpatient care for 16 patients as well as outpatient and Hydrotherapy services. Rehabilitation services act as a link between acute medical services and community services and take a holistic approach towards reintegration of the patient back into the community.
As a successful candidate, you will deliver nursing services for patients in a planned and systemic way that promotes holistic care with the assistance of the multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for passionate nursing staff interested in advancing their nursing skills in Rehabilitation nursing. You will work with patients and their families to create individual rehabilitation goals and assist patients to regain their health and independence to the best of their ability.
In the event of low capacity, you will be required to work across the Lower Mid North Coast Sector (in particular Manning Base Hospital, which is a 15 minute drive from Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital).
As a successful candidate, you will be provided with orientation dates at Manning Base Hospital and Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital.
Job share / part time arrangements will be considered.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
