About us:
The Village GP Black Rock is a small GP clinic located in the beachside suburb of Black Rock in Bayside. We opened our doors in September 2019 with one GP and have gone from strength to strength since. We now have five GPs and a full-time practice nurse (RN). We are supported by a talented administration team, but arguably our most important staff members are our two fully qualified therapy dogs, Dogtor Paddy and Dogtor Orla!
About you:
Imagine yourself as the heartbeat of our GP practice, the driving force behind our commitment to exceptional healthcare. You'll be the friendly face guiding patients through Health Assessments and chronic disease management plans, all with a big dose of care and expertise.
Think of yourself as their health superhero, swooping in to assess their health, spot any red flags, and craft personalised plans that are as unique as they are. But it's not just about fixing what's broken; it's about empowering them to take charge of their health journey, one step at a time.
You won't just be ticking boxes; you'll be building bridges between patients and providers, making sure everyone's on the same page and working together towards better health. And you won't stop there – you'll be spreading the word on prevention and wellness, helping our community stay one step ahead of the game.
So, when you step into our practice, know that you're not just another nurse – you're part of a team dedicated to giving you the support, resources, and opportunities you need to thrive in your role. That's the magic of being our Enrolled Nurse, and that's the kind of impact you can make here.
About the role:
Imagine being part of a team that doesn't just deliver healthcare but defines it. That's what awaits you as our Enrolled Nurse. You'll be at the forefront of our mission to provide exceptional care, starting with government-subsidized Health Assessments for 45-49 year olds, those aged 75 and over, and Adolescent Health Assessments for 14-24 year olds, in partnership with The University of Melbourne.
In our tight-knit team, collaboration and respect are the cornerstones of our success. Our patients are health literate and driven to maintain their well-being, while our GPs are champions of prevention and lifestyle changes for better outcomes. This makes your role pivotal; you'll be the educator and motivator, guiding patients to prevent and manage chronic diseases.
While experience in General Practice is desirable, your passion and commitment matter most to us. You'll be responsible for recalling eligible patients, conducting assessments, providing education, and seamlessly handing over to the doctor. Plus, you'll lend a hand to our practice nurse, covering duties like immunisations, wound dressings, and more.
With hours from 8am to 3:30pm Mon-Thurs (28 hrs per week) and a competitive hourly rate of $30-$35 per hour, plus entitlements, this role offers the perfect balance of purpose and reward.
Are you prepared to create meaningful change for patients and our community? Come join us.
