About the Opportunity
Fairfield Hospital is recruiting for an Enrolled Nurse to complement and enhance the current Medical Assessment Unit. This is a great opportunity to be a part of the dynamic medical assessment unit. We work on active pull model, also facilitate direct ward admission by hand clinic. The team is well supported by medical and allied health staff. Staff will be supported in education and ongoing professional development opportunities.

What You'll be Doing
The Enrolled Nurse works with the registered nurse or midwife as part of the health care team and demonstrates competence in the provision of safe, compassionate, quality person-centered care.

Fairfield hospital is located in one of NSW’s largest LGA’s and is a hub of diverse cultures, ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds. This brings a range of experiences to hospital employees and provides varied learning and development experiences for all levels of Medical, Clinical, administrative and support roles.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Demonstrated recent experience as an Enrolled Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality

  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
