Enterprise Architect
Our client is seeking an Enterprise Architect to support the replacement of their legacy Financial Management System (FMS), and the adoption of and transition onto a new FMS. This includes the procurement of a new FMS, design of standardised business processes leveraging industry leading practices and out-of-the-box functionality, design and development of integrations, testing and deployment of the new system, and significant change management and stakeholder engagement activities.
This is a 12-month contract position, with the possibility of extension, based across Port Adelaide and the Adelaide CBD.
The Role
Reporting to the Technical Lead, the Enterprise Architect will will work with the Project team, senior representatives, Chief Information Officer, and ICT representatives to produce the overall technical architectural design for the Finance Reform Program.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organise and direct the definition and development of enterprise architecture policies, standards, principles, reference architectures and procedures
Plan, direct and control the work of others in the development of strategies, within one or more domains of specialisation
Lead critical initiatives for the development of position papers to support new business initiatives, business cases, risk assessments, new patterns, reference architectures and standards for initiatives which are not in-pattern for the existing business environment
Plan and direct the development of enterprise-wide capability roadmaps and impact assessments to support business outcomes
Provide leadership and direction to others undertaking activities relating to the management and administration of Architect Forums
Provide authoritative and expert advice on IT directions, strategy, candidate technologies, and the re-use of enterprise IT capabilities within a framework of company policies, priorities, objectives and strategy
Think about the future and predict challenges in IT and business requirements and position the company to meet these challenges and remain up to date with IT industry and market trends, incorporating them into the enterprise architecture
Think about systems sustainability, longevity and end to end operability when establishing patterns and design solutions
Display, educate and transfer knowledge to others, guide and mentor less experienced employees and work collaboratively to achieve business outcomes
Apply high level judgement and expert knowledge of the enterprise architecture and advise or grant exemptions as delegated
Evaluate complex and critical solutions and provide authoritative assurance that they comply with the company’s enterprise architecture and IT standards
Skills and Experience
Tertiary degree in information technology or related field
Proven experience translating business strategies, goals and issues into tactical and strategic initiatives
Experience in leading the design and delivery of solutions across enterprise architecture to support business needs
Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
Deep understanding of enterprise architecture
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability and willingness to work both in a team as well as autonomously
Key Requirements
MUST have a valid current National Police Clearance
