Your new role
The Enterprise Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the JORN Enterprise Business Plan. They are also responsible for the planning and determining of strategic direction of the unit including the deliver an efficient & effective Governance Framework. The Enterprise Project Manager will also be responsible for providing leadership and management of a multi-disciplined project team to develop options for the acquisition and sustainment teams.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead the team to Plan, Govern and Assure best practices that ensure program objectives are achieved.
Build and sustain a network of key stakeholders, communicate with influence and negotiate effectively.
Ensure the team understand their roles and responsibilities and are held accountable for their contributions to program objectives.
Accountable for accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements, share own expertise with others, guide and mentor less experienced staff and work collaboratively to achieve business outcomes.
Assess and evaluate project performance against agreed plans and implement strategies to achieve project outcomes.
Integrate risk and opportunity management into planning, decision making and priority setting.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential that you:
Have extensive experience in complex project management environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Extensive knowledge in legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements
Ability to influence and develop strategies, policies, priorities and operational practices in support of Defence objectives based on high level decisions making and judgement
Ability to develop and mentor team and identify opportunities to increase team capabilities to ensure continuous improvement
