What you'll be doing
- Providing guidance, assurance and strategic advice on NSW Health Pathology’s enterprise-wide risk management framework and the internal controls environment.
- Driving and continuously improving the risk management culture and practices of NSW Health Pathology.
- Ensuring that risk management is integrated across all areas of NSW Health Pathology, including strategic and operational planning and decision-making

- Relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline and/or extensive experience delivering risk management expertise in alignment with ISO31000
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of contemporary risk management approaches and practices, including the use of systems to monitor and report on an enterprise-wide risk and controls program, and experience developing, delivering and evaluating training and awareness programs.
- Superior skills in relationship management, strategic thinking, influencing, negotiating, consulting, and communicating, both oral and in writing, on complex issues and technical subjects.
- Experience providing advice and engaging with senior executives and staff at all levels across an organisation, and high-level governance bodies and other stakeholders, on risk management issues.
- Advanced problem solving, analytical and conceptual thinking skills to develop and implement solutions to complex risk and controls management issues through data analysis, recommendations, strategies and policies
- Demonstrated organisational skills, and the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases
In line with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive, all NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (two doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
