The Role
We are looking for motivated and physically fit team members with a strong commitment to safety to join us. You will be responsible for the safe operation of plant and equipment, assist with ad hoc tasks such as delivery and pick up and transport of heavy mining consumables and personnel within the underground mine. The various roles will report to the crew Supervisors, with even time continuous roster of 7:7 day and night shift.
In these roles you will be responsible for:
- Performing pre-start checks, hazard identification, PRAs and the installations of barricades / signage
- Ensuring all housekeeping is kept to a high standard, including washing the light vehicles as required and removing excess consumables and rubbish from job sites
- The communication of accurate and timely information to Mine Control and Cross Shift
- Reporting the status of all development headings that have been set up during shift to the Supervisor
About you:
- A demonstrated history of reliability and punctuality
- Willingness and ability to learn new processes
- Excellent troubleshooting & problem-solving skills
- Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail
- Hold a current Australian Manual Licence
- Able to pass Pre-employment medical including a Drug and Alcohol
- Willing to relocate at own expense
- Currently hold or have the ability to obtain a Queensland Security Explosives Clearance Card.
