About the Position

The position is accountable to the City, through the Executive Coordinator Contributed Assets and Development Compliance, for ensuring the quality of municipal infrastructure constructed and contributed to the City by the land development industry in accordance with development permits and the Planning Scheme requirements of the Local Authority. 

Key Deliverables of the position:

  • Promote and educate development industry representatives on City processes and requirements by representing the City at site meetings and statutory inspections.
  • Ensure contractors produce quality assets that meet required standards and infrastructure requirements by providing direction and quality assurance of landscape and environmental management works (as part of development applications).
  • Provide guidance on minor redesign of approved drawings (if/when required) to provide suitable solutions for latent site conditions, ensuring compliance with landscape principles and land development guidelines.
  • Ensure that development works are constructed in accordance with land development guidelines, providing effective economic life for the City.
  • Provide advice to the section supervisor on all maintenance and uncompleted work bonds within the relevant area and manage the City's bonding system, including notification to relevant staff and updating of relevant computer systems as required.
  • Provide advice to the supervisor on contributed assets meeting City requirements in that they are satisfactory and acceptable to City standards.

About You

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with particular emphasis in the areas of consultation, negotiation, influencing, conflict management and assertiveness in order to resolve organisational issues and meet changing organisational needs relevant to the work area and department.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate and manage projects and resources effectively to achieve work goals to meet planned targets, deadlines and commitments.
