Environmental Education Centre Manager

Wild Mountains Environmental Education Centre provides environmental education programs for young people (10 - 16 years of age) to understand the interconnectedness of our planet's resources and our actions. We run residential camps for Southeast Qld schools throughout the year, as well as offering a range of other programs for university and international students, as well as workshops for local groups. We are looking for a Centre Manager to oversee the operations.

The Centre Manager role is both a challenging and rewarding role.

As the Centre Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of Wild Mountains and executing the strategy set by the Wild Mountains Board.

Your primary focus areas will be to: * Identify and create additional revenue streams for the organisation.

• Generate and oversee facilities use bookings.
• Successfully organise and run education programs.

To do this you will need to be positive and self-motivated and be able to draw on a large range of skills including marketing, outreach, and online fundraising to support our small not-for-profit organisation. We are looking for someone with good communication and interpersonal skills, while a background in outdoor and/or environmental education, knowledge of the bush and environmental sustainability, will be considered favourably.

You will live at Wild Mountains in a beautiful timber home, adjacent to the centre's main facilities and close to other residents and volunteers, providing an opportunity to become part of the Wild Mountains community.

This is a full-time contract role, and it is expected you will fulfil the role for a minimum of 2 years, with the option to extend for a further 1-2 years. nrmjobs.com.au/job/20016801
