Job description

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.
About the School: Lockyer District High School has a highly respected reputation, within the Lockyer Valley and abroad, that is built on success and excellence. This has been achieved through a dedicated staff who respect individual students and through a highly supportive community.
About the Role: Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Undertake routine activities consisting of customer service/reception (telephone and counter enquiries) arranging appointments, processing and maintaining school enrolments and departures;
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders (eg school & departmental staff, parents, students & community members).;
  • Provide information and advice in line with school policies and/or Principal directives;
  • Other duties consistent with duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by Principal/Deputy Principal/Business Manager.
Suitability Assessment Criteria:
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills;
  • Proven ability to work within a team;
  • OneSchool knowledge is highly desired;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • High levels of communication skills, displaying professionalism;
  • The ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, members of the school community, students, families, teaching staff and the local community and our dedicated and caring school office team;
When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
