Job description

An exciting opportunity exists at Lockyer District High School for a highly motivated Administration Officer to join our team. The position is temporary part time, 70 hours/fortnight (0.97 FTE) for a fixed period from 17 April to 24 June 2023 with a focus on enrolments.

About the Role:
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Undertake routine activities consisting of customer service/reception (telephone and counter enquiries) arranging appointments, processing and maintaining school enrolments and departures;
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders (eg school & departmental staff, parents, students & community members).;
  • Provide information and advice in line with school policies and/or Principal directives;
  • Other duties consistent with duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by Principal/Deputy Principal/Business Manager.
Suitability Assessment Criteria:
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills;
  • Proven ability to work within a team;
  • OneSchool knowledge is highly desired;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • High levels of communication skills, displaying professionalism;
  • The ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, members of the school community, students, families, teaching staff and the local community and our dedicated and caring school office team;
When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
