Ventia provides strategic operations and maintenance, asset management and renewals services to Roads and Transport sector clients including local government councils in both Australia and New Zealand Transport, and private road operators. About the Role

We are seeking progressive and forward-thinking site engineers to support various upcoming road construction projects across the South Coast Region (Scenic Rim, Gold Coast City and Logan City Councils).

The site engineer will work in the Stapylton, QLD office working closely with the contract to deliver road construction projects to a high standard within program, budget, and quality. This position would suit someone preferably with government roads experience, however graduate civil engineers are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

  • Review daily job costing sheets ensuring work orders are captured for monthly billing.
  • Manage procurement of suppliers and contractors in line with program of works.
  • Undertake audits on works performed to ensure restoration standards/specifications are met.
  • Raise any NCR/OFI on works performed/missed/not completed to ensure continuous improvement, actions are documents and lessons are earned.
  • Assist Supervisors and Asset Works Manager on technical matters.
  • Preparation of operations plans and works programs for two week lookahead and long-term works.
  • Take a lead role in meeting with the Client and providing innovative solutions.
  • Support development of project reports on revenue / cost, productivity, and quality.
Experiences & Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or other relevant degree.
  • 2-5 years' Roadworks and pavement construction experience
  • Experience in traffic management and traffic guidance schemes. (TMD qualification desirable)
  • Experience at a high level in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
