Welink. Recruitment have recently partnered with an established Tier 2 Civil Construction company who have earnt a reputation as one of Australia’s leading privately-owned diversified Builder. THE ROLE:
Due to a strong pipeline of projects, we are seeking for a Civil Estimator to join the team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for Estimating potential contracts, networking and building new contacts within the industry this may include clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare accurate tenders for civil construction projects;
Develop and maintain relationships with Clients, Subcontractors and Suppliers;
Analyse tender documentation and carry out site inspections;
Provide high level technical inputs to ensure the timely completion of estimates;
Send out tender enquiries and assess quotes;
Review project programmes for completeness and accuracy;
Consider alternative construction methods or conditions to differentiate the tender;
Maintain records of all tender correspondence, calculations and envisaged methodologies;
Present tenders at tender review meetings; and
Hand over successful tenders including supplying project delivery teams at contract commencement and assist in allocating the Bill of Quantities for costing purposes.
YOU:
Relevant tertiary education/qualification in Construction OR Project Management
Strong track record in a similar role working with a reputable Tier 2 OR Tier 3 Insurance Builder
Experience within a similar capacity of estimating for large civil works projects
A sound understanding of costs relating to civil work
Strong experience in site assessments, estimation and quotation
Team player who is an all-rounder and can get in and get the job done!
