About the Role
The Estimator/Assessor is the first point of contact for our clients, their customers, and our subcontractors. This role involves carrying out the estimation for reinstatement works to both domestic and commercial buildings damaged by insurable events.

Skills and Experience
- Strong technical building knowledge with a qualified Carpentry Trade background preferred.
- Strong time and organisational management skills with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to be empathetic to the needs of the customer.
- Insurance industry building experience is considered an advantage but not essential.
- Computer skills including experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Must have a current and valid driver's licence.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments and quotations for property damaged by insurable events, such as flood, fire, etc.
- Assess damage by collecting information to provide accurate causation reports.
- Deliver accurate quotations.
- An understanding of BCA and Australian standards is preferred.
- Liaise between insurance companies and insured homeowners.
- Assist customer service staff with client-related queries.
- Compliance with OH&S and legal requirements.
- Adherence to insurer and internal KPIs.
This role will be subject to a successful National Police Check. Occasional interstate travel to other offices to assist with increased workloads following major events may be required.
