Estimator / Quoter

At AH Fabrications, we specialize in the technical manufacture and assembly of steel components for various customers from different industries including transport, advertising, rail, health, Energy and IT, just to name a few

We are looking for an estimator to work with our busy team.

Main duties will include:

1. Maintain and develop business relationships with new and existing customers by processing customer’s purchase orders, tenders and quotations in a timely manner.
2. Ensure that appropriate records are maintained and kept up to date.
3. Ensure that the customer details (dies, material etc) and sales history (price) are accurately recorded for use by the Sales staff.
4. Ensure that sales literature, specifications, price lists and other sales information are current and accurate.
5. Ensure that any problem relating to a product or process is identified and recorded and ensure that the relevant corrective action is implemented.
6. Assist in the investigation of customer complaints and implement corrective action, if necessary

Knowledge and Skills required:

1. Ability to read engineering drawings
2. Knowledge in sheet metal and fabrication industry
3. Analytical skills
4. Knowledge in Microsoft office suite
5. Knowledge in MRP operating systems such as M1

Qualifications required:

A Diploma in engineering is favorably considered
