The role of the Event Coordinator is to successfully plan and execute events for Diabetes Australia in Queensland. The role is responsible for the end-to-end coordination including logistics and administration as well as supporting other event activities in accordance with the event plan.
- Ensure the successful execution of face to face and digital events by providing end to end coordination including logistics, administration, evaluation and analytics.
- Follow calendar of events and ensure requirements are met for each activity.
- Research and coordinate venues, speakers, catering and AV.
- Adhere to and update budgets and project plans.
- Set up and/or maintain events in CRM and other event platforms.
- Ensure databases are managed and up to date.
- Assist with coordination of marketing material as necessary.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including staff, speakers, health professionals and venue providers.
- Ensure timely responses to requests for information from multiple sources.
- Provide operational and administrative support to the wider team.
- Follow and contribute to event coordination procedures and project planning.
Essential
- Relevant qualifications and/or a minimum of 2 years experience in marketing, communications and end to end event coordination.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing demands and work deadlines.
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and experience developing strong peer and stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- High level knowledge and experience using the Microsoft suite of products including Dynamics
- Project management skills
Additional Information:
- This position is based at the Milton office with flexible work arrangements offered.
- Some travel and after hours/weekend work will be required.
- Any offer of employment may be subject to a satisfactory National Police Records Check and Working with Children Check.
