This is a fantastic opportunity for an Events Manager to join the Maison Hospitality team. Maison Hospitality is a luxury hospitality agency that supplies staff for events in Sydney. In this role you will be leading a large team of fun-loving individuals to ensure that they are consistently delivering an exceptional experience to our client and their guests.
You will be responsible for operational aspects of the Function/Events Department and for coordinating all events from preliminary enquiries, staff allocations, event setup and running of events from arrival through to close out of the event.
This role has a great mix of front of house operations as well as strong scheduling and time management in office getting events booked in.
You can expect to work a roster over Tuesday – Saturday. We are looking for someone who is flexible to help in other areas of the business as required such as bar work, floor supervisor and deliveries.
This is NOT a desk job but a hands-on coordination and operational role.

You will be responsible for:
- Manage and develop a pool of casual employees to ensure that Maison Hospitality is renowned as a professional, friendly, knowledgeable and inviting hospitality company.
- Functions management from taking enquiries to completion of successful events
- Budget preparation and financial reporting monthly
- Administration tasks as required
- Manage inventory levels and ordering
- Staff rostering
- Maintaining a vibrant and inviting atmosphere, ensuring our events are always immaculate
- Ensuring that our focus is always on the guest and their experience
- Organise equipment hire for events & logistics of delivery & pick up
- On the job training for new staff
- Helping with interviews for potential new staff
- Follow up with staff from their previous shifts - feedback
- Managing strong financial controls of events as well as initiating and executing growth strategies to increase top-line events
About you:
- Proficiency in English speaking and writing
- Be able to work well within a small team/office
- Have strong computer skills In MS Excel, Word, databases, client tracking, rostering software, calendar software and emails
- Some knowledge of marketing to improve areas of functions
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational abilities
- High level attention to detail
- A hands-on approach
- Previous functions experience
- Previous event operations experience
- Private events experience is desired
- Current RSA
- Current Drivers License
