YOUR ROLE IN A NUTSHELL:
The primary purpose of this role is to develop and execute marketing activities to
support and promote Supercars promoted events as part of the Repco Supercars
Championship. As Event Marketing Coordinator you will work closely with local area
stakeholders to maximise the exposure of Supercars events in the community and
deliver engaging activities with a results driven mindset. An enthusiastic all-rounder,
the right candidate will be a team player, take initiative and be willing to provide on
the ground support across business departments across the duration of an event.
REPORTING OF THE ROLE:
This role reports to the Event Marketing Manager
KEY STAKEHOLDERS:
The right person for the role must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal
skills to achieve results and desired outcomes from the following key stakeholders.
- Government
- Tourism Authorities
- Local area media
- Ticketek
- Charities
- Supercars Members, teams and sponsors
- Organise and execute on-ground event activations and fan engagement activity
- Create and implement fan engagement opportunities for the events
- Develop local area marketing plans for events throughout the Championship
- Initiate and execute promotions in the local markets to drive ticket sales and
- Provide event reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Manage event website, social and eDM content development and management
- Management of copywriting and proofing (e.g. Supercars and Ticketek websites,
- Management of ancillary community groups (Supercars Members, Official Charities)
- Marketing support for Dunlop Super2 Series
- Monitor and execute government contract marketing deliverables
- Stakeholder liaison
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience updating website content
- Good organisation skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Event experience preferred but not essential
- Travel and weekend work mandatory
