A bit about the role
Reporting to the Team Leader Events, the Events Officer will be part of a dynamic team who deliver Wyndham City’s events program. You will play a key role in lifting the profile of Wyndham City’s events and identify opportunities to develop new initiatives.
What you’ll deliver
- Sustainable events by sourcing, building, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Events which meet their respective briefs, budgets, and timeframes through strategic collaborations with internal depts, contractors, service providers, and stakeholders
- A diverse suite of high-quality major events Council ceremonies and official openings
- Marketing that maximises community awareness and drives participation in Wyndham City’s events program
What you’ll bring
- Relevant hands-on experience in events management
- Project management and goal-setting skills in an environment with fluctuating demands
- Demonstrable skills in delivering and managing events to budget and timeframes
- Working knowledge of event-related risk management and safety requirements
- A positive, curious and flexible attitude
- Qualifications in a related area or field will be highly regarded
