Job description
Rarely available part-time job share role
Based near Perth Airport
Fun, focused and supportive team
Competitive salary and extensive benefits package
There has never been a more exciting time to work in the mining industry, or at Macmahon. We’re an ASX-listed leading Australian contractor delivering a comprehensive range of end-to-end mining services to resource companies across various commodity sectors in Australia and Southeast Asia.
This is a unique new part-time/job share role, and one where you’ll provide a high level of administrative support to the Executive General Manager (EGM) – People. You’ll be managing the EGM’s schedule - calendar, email and travel - whilst also coordinating larger formal meetings and preparing presentations and documents to meet critical deadlines. Your understanding of priorities and ability to navigate through a fast-changing and fast-paced environment will be essential. For this, you’ll need a strong sense of delivery and energy to manage the EGM – People’s schedule to underpin clear business strategies.
Liaising with the wider Executive Support team, and on occasions the Executive Leadership team, requires someone who can gain trust and respect quickly and maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Organisation and time management comes naturally to you, as does seeking ways to continuously improve processes and procedures.
You don’t necessarily need to have worked in the resources sector, but expertise in the HR/People space and managing highly confidential and sensitive information would be ideal. A natural deliverer, you’ll also have the analytical ability needed to coordinate expense claims, corporate credit cards, invoices and handle procurement requirements. The highest level of proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications is, of course, essential, as are strong written and verbal communication skills.
We are committed to an inclusive environment where people feel comfortable to be themselves. We want our people to feel that all voices are heard, all cultures respected and that a variety of perspectives are not only welcome – they are essential to our success. We treat each other fairly and with dignity regardless of race, gender, nationality, ethnic origin, religion, age or sexual orientation. We strongly encourage suitably qualified women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to apply.
As part of our recruitment process, you’ll complete a pre-employment medical, which includes a laboratory drug and alcohol screen, together with criminal history and qualification checks. You’ll also need to provide proof of your working rights in Australia (ie, a copy of a valid Australian passport, birth certificate, citizen certificate or current visa grant notification).
So, if this sounds like the perfect role for you, …………………
