The Opportunity - Program Leadership delivering social and economic impact for QLD
Working directly to the Deputy Director-General, Investment, this executive position will drive the development and delivery of program outcomes for the Department that relate to employment, small business, training and skills programs, including social enterprise initiatives. As Executive Director, Program Investment creating a centre of excellence ethos for program management that will be visible across government, you will lead a best-practice approach to DESBT's grants and program management, and ensure high-quality planning, forecasting, governance, monitoring and client service delivery. With consistency as key, and applying a continuous improvement, economic development and risk management lens, you will holistically oversee and review the program management system, benchmark nationally, further develop program performance standards/frameworks/reporting, and strategically lead the planning and resource allocation for investment across the Department's suite of programs with a total value of up to $170M.
As an agile, collaborative and solutions-focused Senior Executive, you will strategically and operationally lead Program Investment service delivery outcomes and transformation, capitalise on synergies and efficiencies, further develop organisational capability, and engage in effective and trusted stakeholder relationships. You will professionally and personally exemplify visible leadership, excellence and accountability, and as an agent of change, lead a niche and committed team.
Your Suitability
Apply your demonstrated strategic and results-driven program leadership experience with scale, scope and complexity in DESBT, and add to your history of producing best-practice program outcomes, capability uplift and process improvement. As a Senior Executive with high level skills in people leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement, experience related to a public sector environment with economic/regional development or social impact would be highly advantageous.
