Housing and Homelessness Services delivers quality services by providing responsive and integrated homelessness and housing support services to vulnerable Queenslanders.
It is the primary funder, service provider and asset operator of Queensland's social housing portfolio comprising over 74,000 dwellings, of which 83% are owned by the department with the balance managed by the community and not-for-profit sector.
The Programs Branch works collaboratively with not-for-profit, for-profit and government partners to achieve a more effective and integrated service system and improved long-term outcomes for clients requiring homelessness and housing assistance.
This important role is responsible for leading and managing significant investment by government to build the products and services to deliver successful outcomes in line with the Queensland Housing Strategy 2017-2027.
A key focus is developing, planning, designing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining programs and projects to drive improvements within the homelessness and housing sector.
This includes building partnerships, capacity and capability with industry partners and manage large scale investments on behalf of the department.
To be considered we are seeking candidates with strong strategic and executive leadership skills within a large and complex organisation.
You will have extensive experience across the public, private and/or not for profit sectors and a strong background in strategy and policy across agencies.
This role requires a solutions focussed and capable leader of multi-disciplinary teams with a proven track record in establishing partnerships and joint initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
