Lutheran Homes Group (LHG) is a significant not-for-profit organisation recently formed through the merger of South Australia’s two largest Lutheran aged care providers, LHI Retirement Services and Fullarton Lutheran Homes. Providing a full range of residential aged care, retirement living and home care services for more than 1,100 residents and supported by approx. 700 staff, LHG is well positioned as a leading provider, highly respected for service excellence with Christian values as the cornerstone of its care philosophy.
Reporting to the CEO, this role forms a vital part of the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for leading, developing and managing the full suite of finance and accounting functions of the organisation, ensuring robust financial due diligence and sound governance, compliance and reporting. Key areas of responsibility include:
proactively contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation as the key financial adviser to the CEO and Board;
providing leadership in planning, directing and administering all financial activities of the organisation including statutory reporting and compliance, tax, audit and management reporting;
providing detailed commercial analysis and financial modelling to support and articulate key business decisions;
leading, mentoring and developing the finance teams within a framework of continuous improvement;
building collaborative relationships across the organisation to ensure the highest level of service standards and financial results in line with organisational objectives.
Applications are encouraged from CA/CPA qualified professionals with proven experience in a comparable multi-dimensional role. Exceptional interpersonal skills, business acumen, extensive financial management experience and a demonstrated capability to lead these functions through ongoing reform, growth and increasing competition are key to success in this role. Exposure to aged care, health, or human services will be an advantage, but applicants from a diverse range of industry settings are also welcome to apply.
