The Opportunity
Albury Wodonga Health has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic exercise physiologist to work within our Community Rehabilitation program, part of the Health Independence Program suite of services. This permanent 0.76FTE, Level 2 position provides home and centre based interdisciplinary rehabilitation to clients in Wodonga and surrounding shires, aiming to assist clients to increase their independence and participation. The successful applicant will be supported by the exercise physiology team within Community Rehabilitation, as well as the physiotherapy department.
Primary responsibilities of this role are the provision of exercise physiology assessment and intervention with clients and their carers, including clinical, educative and consultative interventions. The exercise physiologist will work with clients with a range of health diagnoses including cardiac and pulmonary conditions, heart failure, chronic health conditions and falls. Group work also forms a key role including cardiac rehabilitation and exercise rehabilitation group.

Selection Criteria
Mandatory : Bachelor of Exercise Science and Sports Science, post graduate Diploma or Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology (Rehabilitation), or equivalent.
Mandatory : Accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), or able to achieve within 6 months of employment.
Mandatory : Current Drivers Licence
Mandatory : Demonstrated ability to assess, plan and implement realistic treatment and outcome goals for clients, appropriate to entry level or Grade One – Level 1-2 Exercise Physiologist.
Mandatory : Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills which promote service and client interests.
Mandatory : Demonstrated knowledge and interest in hospital and community-based care and rehabilitation.
Mandatory : Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Mandatory : Well-developed time management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Mandatory : Understanding of and commitment to Quality Improvement.
