• Experienced cabinetmaker to work on residential and commercial projects

Kitchen & Renovation Concepts has positions available for qualified cabinet makers to meet the growing demand for our joinery products.

Your tasks will include:

• All facets of manufacturing, assembling and installing detailed joinery – kitchens, bathrooms and other commercial and residential cabinetry
• Producing pieces of cabinetry by measuring, cutting and shaping various materials as required
• Working with various materials such as particle board, timber and veneers etc.
• Assembly of cabinetry and checking of work for quality assurance
• Fitting of associated hardware such as hinges, locks, drawers etc
• Reading shop drawings and ensuring accurate processing of materials
• Repair of cabinetry as required.
• Surface finishing of materials as required.
• Adhering to all work health and safety (WHS) best practice requirements
• Making joinery items where fine detail may be required including furniture frames etc.

To be successful in this position you will have:

• Relevant Certificate III or IV plus 2 years relevant experience
• 3 years relevant experience in substitution for the qualification
• A drivers licence and Construction White Card
• A high attention to detail
• Natural problem-solving skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Good hand-eye coordination

Benefits:

Remuneration will be based on experience. The award rate for a qualified Level 7 cabinetmaker (Joinery & Building Trades Award 2020) is $56,390 but above award may be paid for suitably experienced candidates
