AddressRegistered Nurse in a GP Practice
POSITION VACANT
We are seeking an experienced nurse to join a friendly General Practice in West Beach, Adelaide. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills to join our team.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- performing clinical duties displaying a high level of clinical competence
- explain procedures to patients and provide support including immunisations, wound management, chronic disease management, ECG's and collection of pathology samples and also assist doctors with clinical procedures
- maintain clinical documentation
- oversee cold chain process, including documentation of cold chain process
- Monitor infection control standards and implement changes and provide staff education
- assist with data management, diagnostic services, networking with other providers, planning & management of patient care and patient advocacy. Telephone patients with test results as directed by medical staff
- conduct preventative/screening procedures; assist with patient education and community health promotion activities. Co-ordinate patient recall and outreach programs and GP management plans and team care arrangement
- maintain stocks of clinical supplies and regular stock take
- keep up to date with current and new legislation to ensure business is complying with all statutory and regulatory obligations including infection control, sterilisation, hazardous materials & safe handling/disposal of medical waste, records management, OHS, and accreditation
- act within the practice and nursing code of ethics & appropriate level of clinical competence at all times
The successful applicant will possess:
- proficient computer and typing skills with experience in Best Practice software
- current unrestricted AHPRA registration with recent CPR
- previous General Practice experience
