About the Role and the Clinic:
We are a busy, private Psychiatry practice, seeking an experienced and vibrant permanent part-time receptionist, to join our friendly team (outskirts of Adelaide CBD). Reporting to the Practice Manager, this receptionist role requires a candidate who has a positive outlook, prior experience in a similar role and outstanding communication skills. Someone who can follow instructions and work under pressure. Flexibility (to cover shifts for sick/annual leave is required). This is predominantly a 24hr / 3 days per week position.
We have a small, friendly Admin team, working closely with our various Doctors to provide the best care for our patients. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service – our patients love visiting our rooms! Offering above award rates with annual leave over December. We have on-site parking available to staff.
As part of the Reception/Admin team, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Greeting patients on arrival and following procedures for check-in’s, patient information and consent
- Managing appointments and billings (Medicare, DVA, Insurance, Hospitals etc)
- Addressing/supporting patients’ queries (face to face and over the phone)
- Supporting the team’s variety of administration needs including (but not limited to) medical letters/reports (typing of reports and letters using a Audio typing system), patient emails and phone calls, faxing, scanning, filing and managing diaries/schedules, banking, accounts etc.
- Managing patient records and communication
- Administration support using Medical Software – Zedmed
- Opening and closing of the practice – following specific procedures
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in a similar role is a must (10+ yrs preferred)
- Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Accurate, fast typing
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Medical software Zedmed (highly desirable)
- Strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond
- Flexibility to cover sick/annual leave (sometimes on short notice)
