AddressVanilla Blue is an award-winning corporate caterer that delivers over 100 orders to clients in greater Sydney daily. We are currently seeking an experienced Cold Storage Picker to support our busy warehouse team in Artarmon.
The Picker will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. The responsibilities of this busy role will include collecting items and building orders from the cool room and warehouse, packing and dispatching orders; and coordinating with the dispatch and logistics staff in an efficient and effective manner.
The successful candidate for this role needs to be physically fit, and in good health to perform correct packing techniques and to operate from a cool room for a lot of the day. The role also requires being able to stand and lift throughout the shift.
The Details
- 5am to 10am Monday to Thursday
- Artarmon location
- Casual role: $33/ hour plus Super
- Daily meals, drinks and snacks provided
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Bulk picking and assembly of orders with excellent attention to detail
- Working within a small team to undertake day-to-day warehouse duties
- Support management with stock control and ordering
- Undertaking day-to-day warehouse duties
- Ensure all customer orders and receipts are accompanied by correct paperwork.
- Keeping areas of work clean & tidy maintaining current OH&S and quality control standards within the warehouse and cool room
You will require the following abilities to be successful in the role:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a picker in a Cold storage environment
- All applicants MUST be able to work in the Freezer
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Accountability and strong time management skills
- A professional, organised and logical manner
- Strong computer literacy and numeracy
- Be flexible and able to find quick solutions and work-arounds
- Be strong, fit and in good health- able to undertake repetitive manual tasks & stand for extended periods of time including in a cool room
- Must be able to provide a criminal history verification check and to pass a drug test
- Ideally, you will be available for an immediate start.
