THE CARAVAN SHED

The Caravan Shed is a family-owned company founded in 2011, conducting caravan maintenance, repairs to servicing and modifications. We are looking for experienced Repair Technicians and Tradesmen to join our Team in Bibra Lake.  Experience and the ability to work unsupervised with minimal guidance is essential. We encourage Experienced Technicians in similar roles from other industries to apply, such as a trade background that demonstrates adaptability such as; carpenter, cabinet maker, shipwright, mechanical fitter, auto-electrician or fabricator, to apply for this role.  You will have a diverse and interesting working day in a fantastic and supportive working environment with great remuneration, and only a 4 day week.    

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and within a team of Experienced Technicians with established systems and processes you will be involved with;

  • Servicing caravans and RVs, including brakes and bearings, lubrication, tyre changes, and brake alignment.
  • Repair and maintain all aspects of caravan and RV repairs, modifications, installations, and accessory fitting, including:
    • 12v electrical - batteries/solar/inverters/LED lighting,
    • Plumbing – water and gas repair and modification,
    • Mechanical - brakes/suspension/axles/wheels/coupling,
    • All Cabinetry components,
    • Fabrication repair, sheeting and rebuilds of caravan shells, and
    • A myriad of tasks requiring excellent repair skills and an open mind.

IDEALLY THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Previous experience and knowledge of vehicle or caravan maintenance and repairs in a similar role OR a trade background that demonstrates adaptability, such as cabinet making, shipwright, mechanical fitting, auto-electrical or fabrication background,
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with strong manual handling skills,
  • Ability to work independently, as well as a part of a close-knit team,
  • Willing to learn and share knowledge with team members,
  • A background in manual work demonstrating a safe approach to work, attention to detail and a capacity to develop skills, and 
  • Excellent work ethic.

Highly Regarded, But Not Essential

  • A Forklift ticket and first aid certificate.
