Radiologist opportunities for International Medical Graduates (IMGs)
I-MED has recently established a number of RANZCR accredited sites to help upskill internationally trained radiologists to become fellows of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Radiologists.
To come to Australia, you will be assessed by RANZCR and usually provided with a status of partially comparable to an Australian trained radiologist, with some upskilling required, plus you must sit the RANZCR part one and part two exams within two years. This period of upskilling with various levels of supervision from direct to none can be done in an approved Area of Need (AON).
Once you complete your upskilling and pass the RANZCR exams, you become a fellow of RANZCR and will be required to work in a Districts of Workforce Shortage (DWS). DWS was designed to help get medical specialists to regional areas of Australia or more specifically districts of workforce shortages.
The process can be lengthy but we are here to support you on your journey and have developed best-in-class support to help you become fully recognised within Australia in the shortest possible time.
