About the role
We are excited to announce that we are looking for EXPERIENCED MPU/MMU operators to join our South Surface Coal team (multiple DIDO positions on various sites available in the Hunter Region).
Our MPU/MMU Operators form part of a well-oiled, united, high performing, supportive and diverse team of Blasting Professionals. As a valued member of our team, you will be required to operate an MMU (Mobile Manufacturing Unit). An MMU is a highly advanced Heavy Rigid vehicle fitted with the latest technology and onboard computer systems and is used to pump explosive products into pre-drilled blast holes on our customer sites.
What you will be doing
- First and foremost, demonstrating and setting the example of our key company value: 'Safety is our Priority, Always';
- Operating Orica's MMU blast delivery vehicle safely and efficiently meeting our customer expectations;
- Working in tight unison with all blast crew teammates to provide an excellence in service to our valued customers;
- At all times acting with integrity and respect.
- Experience in operating a MOBILE PLANT/MANUFACTURING UNIT (MMU/MPU) - A must;
- A current HR drivers licence is essential and current a HC drivers licence would be advantageous;
- Exposure to operating Orica's MMU or other similar blast delivery vehicle (preferred);
- Previous experience within a similar industry would be highly regarded;
- A high degree of physical fitness and/or demonstrated hands on manual work;
- The ability to pass all required security checks to obtain a Dangerous Goods licence;
- An excellent, positive and team-based attitude where you look out for your teammates;
- A basic mechanical comprehension would be highly regarded;
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen.
