Greenbeans (www.gbau.com.au) is an online retailer dispatching across Australia from our Burpengary warehouse. We sell fabrics and notions that are specific to making Modern Cloth Nappies (MCNs).
About the Position:
Full time, permanent 38 hours a week position. Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm, & 8am-2:30pm on Friday – however the hours are not necessarily fixed and can be negotiated, either increase or decrease, or slightly earlier or later start within regulation.
The position is a sole charge, and will require the successful applicant to work by themselves a significant amount of the time through the normal day to day tasks that are required.
The position is one of warehouse dispatcher. To come in daily to first process and dispatch orders for the day. The remainder of the day is filled by pre-cutting fabric off bulk rolls, down into salable measures, normal warehousing duties in re-stocking shelves and controlling stock. There is a very minor customer service aspect in calling the odd customer or emailing as necessary with an order. A significant amount of computer work is required. Outdoor Property Maintenance duties are also part of the job.
At Greenbeans we run a flexi-time arrangement – where the core 2-4 hours each day of dispatching is required to be done – with staff able to take flexi-time leave for the remainder of the day without significant issues assuming the hours are made up at another time - be that in advance of or after.
Key Requirements of Candidates:
1- Basic Computer Skills. Part of the job requires daily work with computers, typing, and sending emails. Experience with Word, Excel, & Outlook will help a lot. About 20% of the average day will be working on and with the computer.
2- Physical Requirements. The majority of the position will be lifting and carrying cartons about 5kg and on your feet walking around our warehouse picking orders to pack. However you will face items of 30kg on an almost daily basis that you will be required to lift and carry. We also have heavier items you will encounter time to time, like 42kg press machines on a weekly basis. To most these weights are not a major and is normal day to day weights and sized objects one is use to, but we find some who find the physical requirements of our position frustrates their ability to perform it.
3- Commitment. We seek someone who is looking to commit to this position and apply themselves completely during working time. This position is a sole charge position, and you will be working alone at times. How our position will fit into your life and add value to your lifestyle is important to us.

5- Attention to Detail. Attention to detail is very important, as we have a lot of SKU's and a lot of the names of our products and colours are similar and easy to confuse. This position requires someone who is seeking a job that keeps you on your toes and gives you a mental challenge daily.
6- Location within 10 minutes. Part of our position in adding value to candidates, location is a key consideration. Unless you are comfortably and sustainably living in Post Codes 4501, 4502, 4503, 4504, 4505, 4506, 4508, 4509, 4510, your chances of being considered are remote. If you don't live in those post codes, a phone call to have a chat may save you the hours one needs to put in to put together a successful application.
