AddressAllspec Engineering Pty Ltd is a well-established fabrication business that has provided fabrication services for the last decade to the mining and construction industries within Western Australia. Our project focus and sense of urgency coupled with detailed planning and world class fabrication has facilitated increases in efficiencies and consistently delivered lower costs for our clients. As a result of our continued growth and success, we are looking for qualified Fabrication Supervisors to join and strengthen our team at our Hope Valley workshop. We have two newly created supervisor positions available, one supporting the day shift team and one supporting the night shift team.
As a Fabrication Supervisor, you will report and work closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects. We are looking for our Fabrication Supervisors to display strong leadership skills, the ability to supervise and allocate work tasks to our fabrication team and closely mentor and guide our apprentices.
Duties but not limited to:
- Plan, implement and coordinate the fabrication workshop activities in line with client deadlines.
- Supervise and allocate tasks to our workshop personnel.
- Mentor, guide and support the team to deliver desired outcomes.
- Ensure HSEQ policies and procedures are adhered to, providing feedback on recommended continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive efficiencies, ensuring works are delivered on time and to client expectations.
- Liaise with the Project & Quality teams to deliver the required scope of work.
- Liaise with the Workshop Manager to ensure the workshop has all the resources required to complete projects in a timely manner.
Essential
- Certificate III in Engineering - Boilermaker/Welder Trade
- A minimum 6 years’ experience in heavy steel fabrication environment
- A minimum of 2 years workshop supervision experience
- Experience with fabrication and welding of structural steel work, piping and platework.
- Extensive knowledge of fabrication and welding techniques and principles
- Forklift, dogging, rigging, Franna and telehandler tickets desirable.
- IT literate experience with MS Office Suites
- Knowledge of STRUMIS highly regarded.
