About the role:
An opportunity has arisen to join Hancock's Perth based Property team in the role of Facilities Coordinator, Building Services Coordinator, Building Maintenance Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all facets of facility management of several office buildings in West Perth.
Main responsibility of the role:
The successful candidate will have a proven ability to work autonomously and unsupervised, using their experience and sound judgement. You will use your extensive coordination and organisational skills coupled with your ability to ‘think outside the square' to resolve issues, ensuring Hancock's Perth based buildings operate without interruption from maintenance and building work related matters.
In addition to the planning, contract management, logisitics and coordinating of maintenance activities with contractors, this role will involve "hands on" physical work when required. These tasks can include, assisting the property maintenance and management team members with event set-up, furniture relocations / removals, site preparation and pack-up and cleaning.
To be successful:
- You will have good people and good communication skills, with the ability to interact with different contractors, suppliers, managers, department heads and general staff both face-to-face basis and through email.
- At least 5 years experience working in a small property / facilities management team managing 5 + storey commercial/office buildings.
- The ability and willingness to work flexibly when required, including outside normal office hours at different locations on short notice, is essential.
- Have the ability to pass a ‘fitness for work' assessment to be able to undertake the physical activity requirements of the role.
- You will have intermediate computer skills using word, excel, online FM/ordering systems and experience with record keeping and reporting. A sound level of numeracy and invoice / accounts reconciliation / management are all essential.
- A trade qualification and or significant building maintenance background is desirable, but not essential.
