Our client is a government entity that focuses on providing community health services and positively impacting others positively. They are looking to hire an enthusiastic and experienced Facilities/Minor Works Coordinator to assist in running Planned and Preventative maintenance and coordinate and manage minor projects for a critical government site based in the Inner East and some smaller commercial office spaces.
A newly created role due to internal promotions and growth of the property portfolio within the organisation! Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the organisation is revitalising its maintenance approach. You will be pivotal in managing minor maintenance programs and rectifications.
You will be responsible for:
Arranging, procuring, and managing vendors or subcontractors to complete preventative or reactive maintenance works.
Writing and arranging for tenders for minor works and managing projects specifications from quotations to completion and delivery of works
Managing the delivery of reactive and preventative maintenance with minimal impact on the operations of the site and asset
Undertaking inspections of completed works by external subcontractors and ensuring works are at a satisfactory level
Oversee that works are carried out in accordance with all OH&S Act/Regulations and company guidelines
Maintain effective communication with staff, internal stakeholders, visitors and contractors.
As an experienced Facilities/ Minor Works Coordinator, you will demonstrate the following:
You will be an energetic, well-organised and confident professional with experience juggling several minor projects, both planned and reactive, at any time.
You might be trade qualified or demonstrate a sound technical aptitude to manage a variety of minor works projects ranging from mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry
Proven experience in leading a project from beginning to end, from scoping works, tendering and sourcing projects, liaising with stakeholders, organising timescales and tracking project costs.
A customer-centric mindset with a proven ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and follow through in a timely manner
Excellent knowledge of Essential Safety Measures and OHS and risk management
A collaborative team player who is motivated by making a difference to employees and their clients in a socially-aware organisation.
