SalarySituated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Beef plant is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot and processing operation. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality - one of only two in the southern hemisphere. Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in southern NSW. Being in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The plant employs approximately 420 people with a current processing capacity of 600 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days/week.
About the Role:
A rare opportunity exists for a highly motivated, self-starter to join our dedicated team in this important role in our Feedlot operations.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Operation of feed trucks and equipment in order to achieve accurate and timely delivery of feed to the cattle.
- Ensuring that feed bunks and feeding equipment is maintained in accordance with QA requirements.
- Completing daily pre-operational checks on machinery and assisting with maintaining vehicles and machinery to the highest standards.
- Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations.
- A demonstrated ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.
- Previous experience operating and maintaining machinery, including trucks.
- A high level of initiative, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
