Our client is seeking a Feedmill Production Manager for a newly constructed Feedmill producing between 1350 – 1700 tons per week and based in the beautiful Western Downs region of Queensland. This role is open to those with relevant experience including feed milling in a production environment and will support a small team to meet production deadlines whilst using safe practice processes to achieve optimal results
Good things to know:
- Located in the Western Downs region of Queensland.
- Schedule feed production;
- Ensure all diets are current;
- Provide leadership direction to a team of 4 or 5;
- Plan and schedule routine maintenance activities;
- Communicate with other departments regarding raw material inventories and replenishment;
- Report regularly any staffing and production issues;
- Maintain a high level of quality control in accordance with quality management standards implemented by our client;
- Maintain facilities and be a proactive WHS and QA leader.
- Proven skills in a production environment;
- Relevant Industrial, Engineering or Production qualifications;
- Management experience in leading teams;
- Sound Feed Milling experience;
- Problem solving skills, prioritising safety and quality;
- Ability to set work budgets, manage costs and complete weekly cost reporting;
- Extensive communication and time management skills;
- Be committed to upholding the highest levels of animal welfare and bio-security standards;
- Hold a strong work ethic;
- Strong attention to detail.
- Expected Start Date: ASAP;
- Salary excluding superannuation): Starting salary $100K;
- Car Allowance;
- Typical days/hours: Mon - Fri 50 hours per week;
