A bit about your role
Based on the Gold Coast, your new role as Field Engineer would require you to represent nbn’s Field Services team for all field-based assurance activities. You would be responsible for the support, integration, augmentation, field audits, connect quality and Delivery Partner quality activities across nbn and the services connected to the Western Australia network.
You would provide high level field support which will involve frequent travel, scheduled after hours activities, and may require you to be part of an on-call roster and respond to afterhours call outs.
The role would see you:
Manage and conduct equipment and system level Service Assurance activities in the field
Quality improvement of Active network construction activities and investigation of early-onset faults
Provide on-site, complex, technical and ad-hoc network support
Resolve technical escalations from Field Technicians
Provide support for changes or upgrade to network elements
A bit about you
You would come from a technical field background, ideally with strong network assurance experience in one or more nbn technologies such as Ethernet, DWDM, GPON or VDSL. Having outside plant build experience across Fibre or Copper network builds would be beneficial.
Given the nature of this role, you will have the ability to be flexible, adaptable and be able to cope with conflicting priorities. You may be required to work away for up to a week at a time. Finally, you will be a highly organised team player, with the ability to adapt to a changing and dynamic work environment.
