We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Field Officer to join our Milk Supply team based in Raleigh and servicing the Mid North Coast area (from Newcastle to Coffs Harbour). Reporting directly to the Milk Supply Manager, this position is an important resource for both Norco and our dairy farmer members.

The Milk Supply team manages the relationship between the Co-operative business and the dairy farmer members to ensure the supply of premium quality milk to our factories.

The key focus of this position is to assist dairy farmer members to supply high quality milk to factory, ensure members meet all regulatory requirements and to assist members to increase productivity and profitability.

To be considered for this role you need to demonstrate the following:

Essential Selection Criteria:
Degree in Agricultural Science or related discipline
Experience working in the dairy industry
Experience in QA programs desirable
Current driver’s licence
Flexibility regarding hours of work and the ability to travel throughout the region to visit farms

Demonstrated Skills & Knowledge:
Ability to work independently, balanced with a strong team ethic
Understand quality control and audit systems
Develop and implement productivity and profitability programs for farmers
Facilitate educational and training sessions
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with dairy members
Knowledge of the northern Australian Dairy Industry
QA systems in a farm environment
Technical assistance to resolve dairy farm management issues
Excellent computer skills using Microsoft word and excel.
