Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions is a leading supplier of x-ray screening technology to a variety of industries in the Asia Pacific Region and around the world.
We are seeking to appoint a suitably motivated and team oriented Service Engineer to be based in Hobart or Launceston, Tasmania. The role will be supported primarily by the VIC based team, but by the national team, also. Car allowance is included within the package.
Ideally, candidates should possess the following:
- Strong background in electronics
- Good understanding of mechanics
- Good understanding of Computers and Windows operating Systems
- Self-motivated and willing to work flexible hours
- Customer focused with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines
- Willing and able to travel at short notice
- Experience with X-Ray equipment and/or within the security industry would be highly desirable.
- Experience in automation and/or Linux OS would also be a significant advantage.
- Responsible for overall territory management including related administration relating to customer calls, timely completion of service reports, expense reports and weekly time reports
- Carry out repair calls, preventative maintenance and upgrades to Leidos equipment at customer sites
- Work to address customer issues taking them to full resolution
- Actively work within the team to improve performance in terms of service delivery
- Provide customer support via phone/email and during site visits
- Diagnose equipment faults/problems and provide timely repair solutions
- Attend ongoing training to up-skill and improve product knowledge
- Friendly and professional personality
- Effective time management skills
- Motivated self-starter with strong disciplines with respect to task completion and quality service delivery
- Solutions focused attitude
- Experience in security screening equipment would also be advantageous
- Australian Driving Licence
- Ability to work from home location with frequent travel
- Highly motivated with a positive 'can-do' attitude
- Fully vaccinated as per requirements at all aviation customer sites
Additional Information
This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen, have the ability to hold and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and be eligible for a Federal Government Baseline Security Clearance.
