Location: The ideal person can be located in Cincinnati, OH or within 90 miles of the area.
The Field Service Technician is responsible for developing the knowledge and skills to support the maintenance, installation and repair of Sciex products at both internal and external customer sites. This entry-level position works under close supervision and mentoring by a manager, regional specialist and senior engineers within the territory. Tasks are performed independently as proficiencies are developed.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop knowledge of applicable products, customer support, and technical skills vital to perform high-quality preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments
Mentors or assists with preventative maintenance, installation, and repairs, and independently as ability improves
Completes administration duties (logging service activities, expense reporting, inventory, etc.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Associate’s degree (A.S./A.A.S) or Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Engineering
Early/Emerging career - No experience required
Additional Requirements:
Ability to learn troubleshooting and problem-solving procedures
Verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Exposed to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols
Ability and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs
Requires ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist
Exposed to seasonal weather based on geographic region
Domestic travel by vehicle or airplane, up to 50% overnight travel may be required
Maintain valid Driver's License
