POSITION SUMMARY:
As part of a wider “shared service” operation between the two departments, the Senior Finance and Procurement Systems Administrator, Financial Systems Team, plays a key role in ensuring ongoing operations and administration of the finance and procurement systems supporting both the Department of Family Fairness and Housing (DFFH) and the Department of Health (DH).

In particular, the incumbent will work closely with the Manager Financial Systems and the Senior Finance and Procurement Systems Adminstrator to ensure daily, end of month, end of financial year activities happen in a timely manner meeting the defined timelines. They will also provide advice to the Manger Financial Systems during the multiyear upgrade projects being undertaken as part of the Finance and Procurement Reform Program for DFFH and DH.

The role requires a senior level finance and procurement systems specialist with five plus years of experience who can generate their own momentum and work independently, as well as working closely as part of a small team

Accountabilities:
Systems support of the Oracle Finance systems (production, training, development and test environments)
Systems support of the procurement systems (PowerApps, IBM Domino Designer, Oracle DB)
Providing support to approximately 2200 users, managing interfaces (approximately 52) and payment processes
Providing strategic advice on financial systems initiatives, system development activities and system interface requirements
Identifying and implementing process and staff capability improvements in the provision of shared services in response to issues identified in service reporting, audits, and/or acquittals to departments
Maintaining relationships with key staff in customer department teams in order to align policies and processes and inform changes and improvements to the services being provided
Identify and manage risks and issues related to the management of the Finance and Procurement systems
